TITLE SEQUENCE: Moon Zero Two

Moon Zero Two is a rare science fiction flick produced by the legendary horror house, Hammer Film Productions. The film is set in a retro styled future, where mankind has established colonies on the moon.

The beginning of the film introduces us to this brave new world, in animation form. The film is a live action production, but the filmmakers must have felt that it might be an interesting move to open up the film with an animated sequence. The decision is an interesting one, and it helps tell the prehistory of how man made it to the moon by showing us the slapstick and comedic battles between two stereotypically caricatured astronauts, represented by the United States and Russia.

It's a fun and lighthearted way to start out a film that is both ridiculous and highly entertaining in the camp department. This fluff filled, tongue and cheek adventure is anything but a serious ride and it's nice to see that the intro doesn't hold back on giving the viewer and precursor on what's to come. Check it out!

    1. The title sequence is pretty cool. It definitely adds to the strangeness of the flick.
